Top Cell Phone Companies

When it comes to deciding on a cell phone company to use, many factors must be considered such as plans, coverage, fees, customer service…etc.  In a recent survey, the following companies made the top of the list, also included are the reasons why.

Verizon

Verizon was ranked number one.  They received excellent ratings on their plans, minutes, and help/support.  They received a very good rating on cell phone selections and a good rating on their fees.  Verizon does not offer an Unlimited Plan.  They also do not offer roll over minutes or free incoming minutes.  Things included in their basic plan are voicemail, numeric paging, caller id, call waiting, call forwarding, 3-way calling, conference calling, and walkie-talkie.  Help/Support includes: live chat, phone support, FAQ, online form, and email. Verizon was the first cell phone company to upgrade to 4G within their cell towers.

AT&T

AT&T was ranked number two.  They received excellent ratings on their minutes, help/support, and cell phone selection.  They received a very good rating on their plans and fees.  AT&T offers every type of plan available including unlimited.  They do not offer free incoming minutes and they do round up the minutes used.  Things included in their basic plan are voicemail, caller id, call waiting, call forwarding, 3-way calling, conference calling, and walkie-talkie.  Help/Support includes: live chat, phone support, FAQ, online form, and email. Until 2011 Verizon was the only cell phone company to upgrade its cell towers to 4G, however with the overwhelming popularity of the I-Phone 4, AT&T has started upgrading process to better support its customers and cell phones.

Sprint

Sprint was ranked number three.  They received almost excellent rating on their minutes, help/support, and cell phone selection.  They received a very good rating on their plans and fees.  Sprint does not offer business or international plans.  Sprint has nights that start at 7:00 instead of 9:00.  They do not offer roll over or unlimited minutes.  Things included in their basic plan are voicemail, numeric paging, caller id, call waiting, call forwarding, 3-way calling, conference calling, and walkie-talkie.  Help/Support includes: live chat, phone support, FAQ, and email. They are also the first comapny to introduce a cell phone with the ability of being hooked up to your laptop as a mobil wifi hotspot.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile was ranked fourth.  They received an excellent rating on their fees and very good ratings on their plans, minutes, help/support, and cell phone selection.  T-Mobile does not offer an international or unlimited plan.  They do not offer roll over or free incoming minutes.  They do round up the minutes used.  Roadside assistance is not offered.   Things included in their basic plan are voicemail, caller id, call waiting, call forwarding, and 3-way calling.  Help/Support includes: phone support, FAQ, and email.
